As at 14 November 2005, Westpac have offered staff 3.75% for the first year of a two year contract and 3.75% or CPI for the second, whichever is the greater.

My main concern is with the increase in the minimum wage to $12 an hour.  It sounds very nice, but such a massive increase (it's currently $9.50) could cripple business - and that aint good for workers either.  Regular, small increases are the way to go, such as those introduced by the Labour party.

A proposed settlement package has been reached between the country's DHBs and the Nurse's Organisation, the primary representation body of nurses and midwives.
